ACTOR SOMADINA ADINMMA OPENS UP #ON LOVE LIFE, PLANS FOR BABY MAMA, RELATIONSHIP, GROWING UP WITHOUT HIS FATHER AND WHY HE MIGHT BE DOING MUSIC SOON.

One of the greatest gifts of being young is that particular blend of self trust and self consciousness. Somadina Adinma have managed to turn this form of heady young man introspection into expression instead of tedium.

In this interview, fair complexioned, well-built actor/model, who hail from Anambra state but was born and bred in Enugu, opens up on his love life, plans for baby mama, career, growing up without his father and why he might be doing music soon.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR CHILDHOOD?
My child childhood was much interesting, cos I practically grew up being loved by everyone.

WHAT IS LIKE LOOSING YOUR FATHER AT TENDER AGE?
As a child I never felt my father’s loss too much because my Mom has always been there, she is such a strong woman that she played both the mother and father role, well enough. I still miss my Dad though, I took after him as my Dad’s sisters’ would say, he always took part in all the school dramas in those days, I would say he lives in me.

HOW DID YOU DEVELOP LOVE FOR ACTING?
I have always loved to act and sing, but acting for me is fun, cos when one makes his/her career profession a passion, work becomes play…I would say it all started like a joke but now it’s making sense.

DO YOU SEE YOURSELF DOING MUSIC IN THE FUTURE?
Hopefully yes, by His grace.

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN UP
 TO RECENTLY?
I just finished filming; Trusted enemy, Dark afternoon and other events coming up. My holiday has been cool.

HOW DO YOU KEEP FIT?
I work out from time to time, not often though.

HOW DO YOU HANDLE DIFFICULT DAYS?
When I’m in a difficult time, I pray and hope things would get better.

DOES BEEN POPULAR GIVE YOU AN EDGE OVER OTHER STUDENTS IN YOUR SCHOOL?
No,not all. In my school, my department cos I’m popular I read hard to get good scores cos I know people always go to the score board to check my scores.

WHO IS CHELSEA CHINENYE OGUEJIOFOR TO YOU?
She’s a colleague, we both featured in the movie ‘’sadist’’ back then, she can cry for Africa in movie. (LAUGHTER)

ARE YOU DENYING THAT YOU ARE NOT DATING HER?
No, we ain’t dating. I used to have a crush on her but we never dated.
SO WE SHOULD NOT BE SURPRISED IF IT HAPPENS?
It won’t.

DOU YOU HAVE PLANS FOR A BABY MAMA?
(LAUGHTER) I love kids a lot, it’s God that gives children. If he decides to give me before marriage , then cool.

DOES IT MEAN YOU ARE CURRENTLY DATING?
Yes, I’m in a relationship.

IS SHE INTO THE MOVIE INDUSTRY AS YOU?
No.

HOW DO YOU RELATE WITH YOUR FEMALE FANS?
I’m just cool with all of them.

EVEN THOSE THAT STEP THEIR BOUNDARY?
No. I create the boundary before being cool with them.

HOW WOULD DESCRIBE YOUR FASHION SENSE?
I would say I’m a fashion enthusiast but I don’t always go with what’s trending, I go with suits me.

HOW DO YOU UNWIND?
If I’m not working, I unwind by hanging out with close friends or listen to music.

WHAT GENRE OF MUSIC DO YOU LISTEN TO?
Afro pop, RnB, dancehall. I practically listen to any jam that makes sense.

WHAT ARE YOUR ASPIRATIONS?
I aspire to get to the peak of my career. Be at the top.

ANY WORD FOR YOUR FANS?

Yes, I want to say a very big thank you to everyone that’s been supporting me right from when I started up as a kid actor, up until now. I promise I won’t let them down, cos of them I didn’t dwell in past glories. I’m still down more.
